YouTube Music will display your top five artists, songs, moods, genres, albums, and playlists.

YouTube is extending this feature to the YouTube app, where users will find a dedicated Recap page showcasing the same stats and insights available on YouTube Music.

After Apple and Spotify, the Google-owned YouTube Music has released its 2023 Recap for users. According to the platform, music fans can jump into their 2023 Recap page on the YouTube Music app and scroll through to see their personalised stats (top artists, songs, moods, genres, albums, playlists and more) from this year.

“We’re also excited to announce that we’ve brought this full experience to the YouTube app, where you’ll see a dedicated Recap page featuring the same stats and insights available on YouTube Music. Along with bringing this experience to the YouTube app, we’ve also launched several new features to help you relive your year in sound,” the company wrote in a blogpost.

How To Check YouTube Music Recap 2023

– Open the YouTube Music app on your mobile device.

– Ensure that you are signed in to your account.

– Tap on your profile photo, then select ‘Your Recap’.

– YouTube Music will display your top five artists, songs, moods, genres, albums, and playlists.

– The Recap includes information about your longest listening streak and the total number of minutes you’ve listened to in 2023.

– You can find the Recap page among the playlists, alongside top stats presented in stories.

– To access stories, select ‘Watch now’, and you have the option to download or share the stories.

YouTube is extending this feature to the YouTube app, where users will find a dedicated Recap page showcasing the same stats and insights available on YouTube Music.

Additionally, YouTube Music will now create a customised artwork by pulling a collection of colours, vibes and visuals from top track, energy score and top moods from this year, and to blend it to create the album art. “If you were an album, this would be the cover,” YouTube said.

The second feature is mood matching wherein YouTube Music will classify the top songs with terms that suggest mood, like fun, chill and love, among others.
