G20 Summit in Delhi takes place from September 9 to 10

The G20 Summit is going to see foreign dignitaries coming to the Capital city for the main event next week.

Mobile users in Delhi could experience faster 5G speeds and fewer call drops in the coming weeks due to the high-roll preparation for the G20 Summit in the capital. The Indian government has stated that it has quickly improved the 5G network infrastructure in Delhi to meet the demands of international dignitaries and also to help local residents access high-speed 5G networks with reduced call drop issues.

The number of base stations in the city has increased from 5,718 to 10,662 stations, which is one of the main reasons for this upgrade, according to the report.

Although 5G networks were launched in the region earlier this year, the high population density of Delhi has resulted in lower data speeds than expected. However, the addition of double the number of base transceiver stations (BTS) seems to be improving the speed range for consumers.

Visitors to the G20 Summit venue will have access to free Wi-Fi services throughout the Bharat Mandapam complex located inside Pragati Maidan.

In order to accommodate diplomats and ministers from around the world, the government is making SIM activation more flexible, requiring only their passports to issue a local SIM card for them to use for payments, ordering food, and more.

However, the Ministry has clarified that this one-time measure for SIM activation is only available for foreign nationals and officials visiting the country for the G20 Summit, which will take place from September 9 to September 10.

Unique Perspective: As the G20 Summit takes place in Delhi, the residents of the city can expect improvements in their mobile experience. The Indian government has invested in upgrading the 5G network infrastructure in order to cater to the needs of international dignitaries and address the issue of call drops. By increasing the number of base stations in Delhi, mobile users can benefit from faster 5G speeds and a reduction in call drops. Additionally, visitors to the G20 Summit venue will have access to free Wi-Fi services, further enhancing their connectivity. It is encouraging to see the government taking proactive measures to improve technology infrastructure for both its citizens and foreign guests, highlighting India’s commitment to technological advancements.
