Frontier Airlines to Reduce Check-in Times to 60 Minutes Prior to Departure on August 16th

Frontier Airlines has announced that starting on August 16th, passengers will need to arrive at the airport 60 minutes before their flight, as the check-in counters will begin closing at that time. Currently, the check-in and bag drop counters close 45 minutes before flights. The airline states that this change will give passengers more time to go through security and allow bag handlers at the airport more time to process luggage before the flight.

“Increasing the standard check-in and bag drop cutoff from the current 45 minutes to 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure… will also serve to standardize the cutoff times for both international and domestic travel,” said Frontier spokesperson Jennifer de la Cruz.
